The 16th Annual Teddy Bear and Doll Show and Sale
Lafayette Hotel, Marietta
January 21
More than 40 exhibitors from several states will be selling and displaying old and new teddy bears, dolls and accessories. Talk to the artists who make their own dolls and bears and meet with appraisers, collectors and vendors. When you purchase admission, you are entered to win a door prize drawn at the end of the show.

Cabin Fever Arts Festival
Appalachian Gateway Center, SSCC, Sardinia

This is one-day event showcasing the talents of the Appalachian Artisans Guild, and a few invited artists. Among our members are quilters, potters, spinners, weavers, woodworkers, blacksmiths, and musicians. Add down home food and authentic Appalachian music and you have a great way to spend a long winter's day.

Visitors are invited to stroll amidst 40 vignettes of 106 lifelike figures representing classic scenes from Victorian society. A self-guided walking tour brochure will be available at downtown shops and area hotels for your convenience.

Holiday Trail of Lights

Lake Hope State Park introduces the new annual Holiday Trail of Lights with over 50,000 lights featuring animated displays, decorated trees & landscape lighting along a 1/4 mile trail near the park’s nature center.

Southeastern Ohio Watercolor Society Annual Exhibition

Southeastern Ohio is a region rich in the tradition and craft of watercolor. The Southeastern Ohio Watercolor Society was founded in 1977 to develop interest in the watercolor medium. It has evolved into a very creative group of well-respected and up-coming painters. This exhibition celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the founding of the Socity. A variety of imagery and techniques will be on view, but the landscape views of hills and woods of southeastern Ohio are a constant theme.

42nd Annual Winter Hike at Hocking Hills State Park

Come to Hocking Hills and enjoy winter’s splendor on this scenic 6-mile trek from Old Man’s Cave to Ash Cave. Layered clothing and good footwear are recommended. Refreshments are available for a donation. A shuttle bus returns hikers to Old Man’s Cave. 

Winter on the Wilds

Winter on the Wilds provides opportunities to discover unique winter wildlife at the Wilds. Day-long programs have been scheduled select Saturdays through March. Programs will feature wildlife watching, hiking adventures, exploration into the many habitats of the Wilds and various indoor activities.

Gregg Luginbuhl Ceramics
Zanesville Art Center
January 13 - February 18
Very contemporary ceramics from a well-known Ohio ceramist. Luginbuhl has been a professor of art at Bluffton College, OH, since 1984. His ceramics are sculptural with complicated, often colorful surfaces. His subjects range from tropical fish to spiritual expressions. Luginbuhl's work has won numerous awards and has been featured in solo and group museum and gallery shows around Ohio and at the Columbus Winterfair.

Beauty is enamored with a handsome prince whom she saw in an apparition. Her love draws her to the castle of the unspeakable Beast. A magic mirror and many other gifts are given to her by the Beast; but it is her fearless expression of affection for the Beast that breaks the spell and returns him to a prince.
Activities include: Open Hearth Cooking, Civil War soldiers, "Meet the President" Talks, Special Activities in Discover World, Planetarium shows, Candle dipping, Spinners & Weavers & much more! 1/2 Price admission. Also a new exhibit opening!
