Available, Productive and Affordable Workforce

The eight-county southeast Ohio region has a workforce of more than 112,000 people. Employment opportunities are fewer than in more metropolitan parts of Ohio, and employers tend to find less competition for good workers and experience lower turnover rates. Eight institutions exist in the region to provide higher education and training – from Ph.Ds to vocational certifications.
