Utilities: Water & Wastewater


Local and county water and wastewater districts serve the majority of Appalachian Ohio.  Public and private water systems are regulated by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). The PUCO has created a map of their regulated private water and wastewater systems.

A list of public and private water systems, service connections, population, owners, and contact information has been compiled by the Ohio EPA.  The PUCO has created service area maps for some private water systems as well.  Below you can search for water and wastewater systems by county that the EPA has designated “Community Water Systems”.
