Appalachian Ohio has 5,800 miles of track with 4,500 miles of Class I Rail. Ohio ranks fourth in the United States for having the the most miles of Class I Rail.

 

Appalachian Ohio has two Class I Railroads (CSX and Norfolk Southern). The area also has 35 regional and shortline Railroads. For more information on Ohio railways, visit the Ohio Rail Development Commission.
